THOMAS BURNS was born in Detroit, Michigan, where he lived until he left for New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts in 1966 on scholarship. As a graphic artist, he worked as art director for poster artist Peter Max in the early ’70s, and as production artist on Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine in the mid-’80s. In 1987, he moved with his wife, Charlene, to Livingston, Montana, where they raised a family, and he co-published a monthly tabloid magazine for 11 years. Thomas is the author of six chapbooks of poetry: Souvenirs, Parallels, Wings of Thought, Of Life, Freedom’s Son, and Unbound. Presently, he and Charlene own and operate Howlers Inn and Wolf Sanctuary in the Bridger Canyon outside Bozeman, Montana. Journaling, photography, and caring for wolves are his passions.
